# How to compare psilocybin centers

Compare licensed centers by state program, licence type, services, and published session price. Verify each licence with the state agency before you decide.

Start with the law. Psilocybin is illegal under United States federal law in every state. A state program licenses facilities inside that state only. Oregon and Colorado run different programs with different rules. A licence from one state means nothing in another state.

Ask every center the same set of questions. Start with the state program that licensed it. Each center on this site holds a licence from the Oregon Health Authority, Oregon Psilocybin Services, or from the Colorado Natural Medicine Division. The listing names the program.

Next, look at the licence type. For centers, Oregon issues the psilocybin service center licence. Colorado issues two types: the standard healing center licence and the micro healing center licence. The licence type tells you which program rules apply to the center. Ask the state agency if you want to know what each licence type allows.

Compare the services each center states on its own site or in the registry. The listing shows three kinds: group sessions, individual sessions and facilitator-led sessions. Not every center states what it offers. An empty field means unknown, not none. Ask what a typical session includes and how long it lasts.

Check the published session price when one is shown. Most listings on this site carry no price. The state registries do not publish prices. A price appears only when the center itself publishes one. Contact the center for its current fee.

Look at the languages spoken and the accessibility features. The accessibility options are wheelchair access, step-free entry, accessible parking and sign-language support. These fields are often empty, because a center must state them first. If you need a special arrangement, ask the center directly.

Verify the licence with the state agency named on the listing. In Oregon, use the OHA license-status tool. In Colorado, use the DORA license look-up or the Natural Medicine Division directory. A listing on this site is a public licence record, not an endorsement.

Read the source note on each listing. It says which registry the facts came from and when we last checked them. That note is your starting point for verification. The Colorado rows come from the division's directory sheet. Each licensee reported its own details there: name, licence type, website, address, phone, email and services. The state makes no warranty about that data, so check each fact with the center.

Contact more than one center. Ask each one for the same details in writing: licence type, services, session price and cancellation policy. Compare the answers line by line.

## Questions

### How many centers should I contact before I decide?

There is no set number. Ask each center the same questions so you can compare the answers side by side.

### Can I change center after I start the intake process?

Ask each center for its cancellation policy in writing before you agree to anything. This site does not know the policy of each center.

> **Not medical or legal advice.** Psilocybin Centers lists facilities that hold a licence from a US state program, such as the Oregon Health Authority or the Colorado Natural Medicine Division. Psilocybin is still illegal under United States federal law, and its legal status differs by state and by city. A listing is a public licence record, not an endorsement. Nothing on this site is medical or legal advice, and no listing makes claims about health outcomes. Verify the licence and the rules with the state agency named on each listing before you decide.
